The Procedure
Microsurgery at it's finest!
During removal of the individual hair follicles, you are reclining comfortably in a specifically designed couch. This part of the procedure takes between 1 and 3 hours, depending on how many follicles are being transferred. You may at anytime stand up, have a drink, stretch or visit the rest room.
If you wish you may see the follicles as they are being removed. Many patients are fascinated by this and are reassured by the micro size and nature of the follicles. They realise that absolutely minimal trauma is occurring. They are also totally reassured that the grafts can only produce a TOTALLY NATURAL RESULT.
After the follicles have been removed, the hair is combed back over the donor site, making it undetectable. No bandages are required. You can then relax and lean back for the last stage of the procedure. Local anaesthetic is given to the recipient (ie. Balding area) and after a moment, becomes totally 'numb'.
A mirror is provided so you can observe and advise on the placement of your hair. HIGH DEFINITION MAGNIFIED VIDEO MONITORING BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE PROCEDURE IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR YOUR INTERACTION AND PEACE OF MIND.
Many clients from around the world choose to observe the placement procedure under high powered magnification via a monitor, and are amazed at this incredibly precise microsurgical technique.
YOU ARE IN TOTAL CONTROL.
If you wish, a relative, friend or partner may be present and sit with you and watch while the follicles are being inserted. This is your guarantee of safety, absolute sterility and care.
The follicles are inserted using 21 gauge* hypodermic instrumentation (0.8mm). Where appropriate, 23 gauge* (0.6mm) instrumentation is also incorporated in hairline restoration. This allows the follicles to be replaced in their normal anatomical position ie., the natural cylindrical shape of the follicle is intact and the top of the follicle is flush with the surrounding skin. 'Shock Fallout' is negligable and is avoided. 'Shock Fallout' is the loss of pre-existing hair. For more information see FAQ's page. *Note: the higher the guage the smaller the instrument

Our patients have always been able to watch all follicles being placed real time via monitor.
Now we offer a new world first innovation where patients can watch all follicles being actually removed from the donor also in real time via several monitors. This ensures the patient can see low transection rate, safety and donor protection. This is called Monitoring Of Donor Extraction 'MODE' . This allows the patient to confirm and account for every graft being intact and viable and be reassured of the highest level of interaction, confidence and actual visualization proving the claim that this is still the finest and most perfect procedure in the world.
